Entitler documentation
Entitler tells your app which features, limits and usage each customer is entitled to.
Entitler manages your plans, feature access, usage limits and customer grants. You define features and plans in the dashboard, and your servers and apps ask the Entitler API what each customer is entitled to. When you change a plan, the answers change with it, with no deploy.
How it fits together
- Features are the things you sell: a switch such as
priority_support, a metered allowance such asai_credits, or a configuration value such as a seat count. - Plans give features to customers. A customer's entitlements come from their plan, their add-ons and any grants you give them.
- Customers are your users or accounts, named by your own ID, such as
ada. - Usage draws down metered features. Entitler counts it, refuses it past the allowance when you ask it to, and resets it on the schedule the feature sets.
